La Shaun Coronel has been in the personal finance space for over 7 years. She desires to provide knowledge to young girls on the topics of personal finance and self esteem.
Princesses of Success was created as a prevention method, to reduce the number of African American girls that do not learn personal finance until they are adults and making unnecessary financial mistakes.
La Shaun started to learn personal finance while in college. She was apart of an organization, Economic Empowerment Initiative, where she learned personal finance lessons and then taught those lessons to peers on campus. After graduating college in a middle of a recession, she had to use her knowledge to stay afloat. From there she began to share her personal journey with debt through blogging.
She has coached women on personal finance, as well as, held several workshops for women and kids.
La Shaun is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Certified Financial Educator.
